CLIMBra-PET

This dataset comprises a national-scale database of potential evapotranspiration (PET) across the Brazilian territory, developed using climate projections from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6). The dataset integrates simulations from multiple General Circulation/Earth System Models under two Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5). Different formulations of PET (including Penman–Monteith, Hargreaves–Samani, Thornthwaite, and Priestley–Taylor) are applied to capture methodological variability.The dataset is available at gridded resolution (0.25° × 0.25°) and includes both historical (1980–2013) and future (2015–2100) periods. It provides daily time series of PET, enabling regional and catchment-scale analyses. By combining multiple climate models, scenarios, and PET formulations, the dataset offers a comprehensive resource for environmental and hydrological studies assessing climate change impacts on water resources, agriculture, and ecosystem dynamics in Brazil.
