Method of preparation among past-day coffee drinkers in the U.S. 2024

In 2024, the drip coffee maker was the favorite method for brewing coffee in the United States. Approximately 32 percent of coffee drinkers in the States used it for their past-day consumption. Other everyday methods on the list included single-cup brewing, cold brewing, and the bean-to-cup brewer. Coffee making habits of the decadeWhile the drip coffee maker was the most popular method for coffee brewing in 2024, its use has decreased over the last few years. While it was one of the most common preparation methods that year, espresso machine usage has fluctuated considerably over the last decade, reaching its peak in 2017, 2022 as well as 2023 with 15 percent and its all-time-low in 2012 with just nine percent. Two percent of U.S. coffee drinkers had used a French press (or plunger), which is a decrease of two percent compared to the previous year.
