资源简介:
The Turpan fish (Phoxinus grumi) is a small freshwater cyprinid species belonging to the subfamily Leuciscinae. It is endemic to the Turpan Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Inhabiting inland rivers and springs within an extremely arid environment, P. grumi has evolved a suite of unique physiological and morphological adaptations, making it an ideal model for studying adaptive evolution and speciation in isolated and specialized aquatic habitats. As a key component of regional biodiversity, its conservation status is indicative of the health of its fragile ecosystem. However, the lack of genomic resources for P. grumi has hindered in-depth investigations into its mechanisms of environmental adaptation, population genetic structure, and phylogenetic position.
