Oregon Biodiversity Genome Project

The Oregon Biodiversity Genome Project (OBGP) is a collaboration between the United States Forest Service Pacific Northwest Research Station, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Oregon State University. The goal of the OBGP is to create a genomic library for all of Oregon's animal species. Representative samples are taken of each species throughout its range. Tissue samples taken from specimens are georeferenced and linked to genetic data and a physical voucher specimen via a unique OBGP identification code. Fully assembled mitochondrial genomes and raw sequencing data are all available for public use and are relevant to applications in agriculture, environmental and evolutionary studies, and wildlife management.
