Single-cell transcriptomic data of mouse brain tissues at early and late life stages. Single-nuclei transcriptome analysis of young and old mouse brain by distinct regions

The brain is a complex organ with specialized regions to carry out specific functions. Among the array of cell types in the brain, specific cells have been shown to be distinct in different brain regions. Here, by transcriptome profiling at the single-nuclei level, we analyze the effects of aging on different cell populations. We employed 10x Genomics and Smart-seq2 to capture the transcriptome of cerebral cortex, hippocampus and cerebellum of 3-month old and 17-month old mice.
