Strain waves: DMap to Imap animations

Strain waves are propagating changes in the interval between contraction waves in the small intestine, usually associated with a wave termination or dislocation. These GIF animations are interpolations between diameter maps (DMaps), which show contractions, and corresponding interval maps (IMaps), which show contraction intervals. The maps are spatiotemporal, showing time running horizontally and distance along the intestine vertically.
