Influence of the gut microbiota in the stress response system in Japanese quails

We hypothesized that chronic stress would modify gut microbiota composition, which in turn would induce a stress-like state when inoculated to germ-free quails. We assessed the consequences of this inoculation on emotional behavior, memory performances, plasma corticosterone levels and gene expression in the brain.
