Ant occurrence and DNA barcode voucher data and other supplementary files for "A review of the ant fauna of Alaska (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)"

These datasets underpin the paper "A review of the ant fauna of Alaska (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) including a key and analysis of relevant DNA barcode data." The file (ArctosAntData-AK-UAM-UAMObs) contains primarily Alaskan ant specimen records (with GUIDs UAM:Ento) from the University of Alaska Museum Insect Collection with data downloaded as it was on 11 Feb 2026. Included are Alaskan ant literature records or records from other collections (with GUIDs of UAMObs:Ento). The file (Alaskan Ant BOLD data (DS_ANTSAK).xlsx) contains DNA barcode voucher specimen data from BOLD used for this study. The file (QGIS Map Making Instructions.docx) contains instructions on how dot maps for this study were prepared. The file (Voucher GUIDs for figures.xlsx) contains a list of the GUIDs in Arctos (https://arctos.database.museum/search.cfm) for the University of Alaska Museum Insect Collection specimens that were photographed for the key with their figure numbers.
