VPRS 16676 Board Papers, Minutes and Agenda

These records are the minutes, papers and agendas of the Yarra Melbourne Regional Library Board. The Board was responsible for the provision of library service in the cities of Yarra and Melbourne. Membership of the Board was comprised of councillors and staff from both the City of Yarra and the City of Melbourne and community representatives. The Board usually met once a month. Most of the minutes have been signed by the Chair of the Board except for meetings before 1997. The number of meetings contained in each file varies. Separate minutes for the first year appear to be missing, but copies of the meeting business papers are included and these contain the minutes from each previous meeting. The first official meeting of the Board was held on 10th October 1995, however a preliminary meeting preceded this on 3rd October 1995.
