An experiement was conducted at York University, Keele Campus at the Woodlot and Grassland area on Tuesday October 14, 2014 between 2:30pm-5:30pm with a temperature off high 23 °C and low 20 °C with showers to measure the relationship between the abundance of insects and the presence of human litter. A 1m x 1m quadrat was used to measure the presence of human litter and the abundance of invertebrates being observed on the ground. The quadrat was randomly placed on the ground 30 times at each location (15 times with the presence of human litter and 15 times with the absence of human litter).
