In recent years, magnons have gained growing recognition as promising carriers for next-generation quantum information storage, transmission, and processing. Hybrid coupling systems between magnons and other quasiparticles have attracted substantial research interest. In the strong coupling regime, coherent information exchange can occur between distinct subsystems, making the realization of strong and even ultrastrong coupling pivotal for the development of magnon-based quantum devices and the exploration of emergent physical phenomena. Over the past decade, remarkable progress has been achieved in two representative types of hybrid magnonic systems: magnon-photon and magnon-magnon coupling. This review summarizes recent advances in strong, ultrastrong, nonreciprocal, and multimode coupling within hybrid magnonic systems, aiming to broaden the scope of magnonics and lay a solid foundation for the design and implementation of magnon-based devices, including information-processing units, nonreciprocal components, and quantum transducers.
