Microbial diversity of Heterogen japonica females and juveniles

Little is known about microbial associations in the Japanese mysterysnail, Heterogen japonica, save for a single study describing its gut microbiome. The first aim of the project was to describe and compare microbiomes sampled from maternal brood pouches and the juveniles therein. The second aim was to determine if there was structuring of juvenile microbiomes based on differences in position in the brood pouch.
