This project of phenotypic plasticity of resuscitated cells provides fundamental insight into understanding the adaptive fine-tuning of the soil microbiome in response to environmental changes and the soil functional redundancy resulting from phenotype heterogeneity. Transcriptomic analysis with gene ontology (GO) was conducted to understand the association between phenotypes and genotype.
