资源简介:
This study aimed to characterise how nutrition and reproductive status influence gene expression in Drosophila melanogaster. To disentangle transcriptional changes associated with metabolism from those linked to reproduction, we combined two dietary environments (protein-rich and carbohydrate-rich synthetic diets) with two mating conditions (virgin and mated). Whole-body RNA was extracted from adult males and females after dietary exposure, generating 12 samples in total (3 biological replicates per treatment combination). Libraries were prepared using the KAPA Hyper mRNA Library Kit and sequenced on an Illumina NextSeq 500 platform (43 bp paired-end reads, ~18 million reads per sample). The resulting dataset provides a resource for examining sex-, diet-, and mating-dependent gene expression patterns in a controlled nutritional and reproductive framework.
