This repository contains the land use/ land cover input data for CLM5 which was used in the study investigating the fire impacts of global-scale forestation. Files beginning 'landuse.timeseries' contain transient land use/land cover data; the file beginning 'surfdata' contains information about the initial state of the land surface. Both files are needed to perform transient land use/land cover experiments using CLM5. The files correspond to experiments described in the study as follows:
Max Forest - landuse.timeseries_0.9x1.25_hist_78pfts_SSPRFAFRS_simyr2000-2100_c221024.nc
Forestation - landuse.timeseries_0.9x1.25_SSP1-2.6_78pfts_CMIP6_simyr2000-2100_c220715.nc
Deforestation - landuse.timeseries_0.9x1.25_SSP3-7.0_78pfts_CMIP6_simyr2000-2100_c240522.nc
No LULCC - landuse.timeseries_0.9x1.25_SSP2-4.5_NOLULCC_78pfts_CMIP6_simyr2000_c290524.nc
'Forestation', 'Deforestation', 'No LULCC', and surfdata files were created by James A. King. The 'Max Forest' file was created by James A. King and James Weber based on previous work by Stephanie Roe and Peter Lawrence.
