Threshold responses of groundwater micro-ecosystems to aridity gradient under China's drylands

This project investigates groundwater hydrochemical properties and bacterial, archaeal, and fungal (16S rRNA and ITS-based) communities across a broad climate-induced aridity gradient in dryland regions of northern China. Groundwater samples were collected from 203 newly constructed wells to describe multi-kingdom microbial community patterns along varying degrees of aridity.
