GLOPOP-SG
收藏资源简介:
GLOPOP-SG is the high-resolution gridded version of GLOPOP-S. In GLOPOP-SG, households are allocated to 30 arc-second grid cells (~1km) using high-resolution demographic and socioeconomic data: population density (GHS-POP), settlement type (GHS-SMOD), relative wealth, and age and gender distributions (CIESIN). There are two types of files in the database: synthpop files contain the synthetic population of GLOPOP-S with an additional column indicating the grid cell identifiers. The spatial location of the grid cells is given in the .tif files. Each filename includes the region code corresponding to the Global Data Lab’s regional classification. The high-resolution household dataset can be used in large-scale microsimulation studies, where household behavior is modeled based on their characteristics and local environment. With GLOPOP-SG, such behavior can be simulated with high spatial precision, making the dataset valuable not only for global applications, but also for national and subnational studies.
