Wild-type (B6) mice or mice mutant for Stat1, Irf3, or Ifnlr1 were left untreated or treated for 14 days with an antibiotic cocktail of vancomycin, neomycin, ampicillin, and metronidazole in their drinking water. Stool was collected after the treatment and DNA was extracted and purified. Amplification of the V4 region of 16S rDNA was performed with individual barcodes for each sample, followed by pooling and sequencing on an Illumina MiSeq.
