This sequencing dataset was generated as part of a study investigating the holobiont of wheat plants exposed to various levels of rain. At the height of the growing season, plant roots and rhizosphere were sampled, their RNA extracted and sequenced. Our results are showing that the response of the wheat holobiont to decreasing precipitation levels is mostly carried out by fungi and bacteria, with very little response from the plant itself.
