Initial sample screening showed the presence of Hepatitis B in three of our ancient samples. Deeper sequencing was carried out and reads were mapped against different Hepatitis B reference sequences. Mapped reads were extracted and a de novo assembly was carried out resulting three ancient HBV genomes.
