Cyclones detected in sea-level pressure using the Wernli and Schwierz (2006; doi: 10.1175/JAS3766.1) algorithm including the Sprenger et al. (2017; doi: 10.1175/BAMS-D-15-00299.1) modifications.
Front volumes intersecting the 850 hPa surface. Volumes are detected using 925, 850 and 700 hPa equivalent potential temperature following Spensberger and Sprenger (2018; doi: 10.1002/qj.3199).
Cold-air outbreak index based on 850 hPa potential temperature, following Papritz and Spengler (2017; 10.1175/jcli-d-16-0605.1).
All detections are prepared for 1979-2022.
