资源简介:
Missulena elpis sp. n. is described for one of the hills in the city of Valparaíso, Chile. Additionally, data on the distribution of Chilean actinopodid species are provided, along with ecological background, an analysis of burrow construction, and the basis for their impact and habitat intervention, qualifying them for conservation status. Sampling was conducted through transects in two locations, Valparaíso (V Reg.) and Huachalalume (IV Reg.), with in-situ measurements of burrows. IUCN parameters were used to estimate the distribution area. Burrows of Missulena elpis sp. n. lack a trapdoor at the entrance and can reach a depth of over 12 cm, in contrast to Missulena tussulena, which constructs a similar wafer-like trapdoor; both species tend to be found in gruped. On the other hand, Plesiolena bonneti and P. jorgelina construct burrows with a very thin and delicate trapdoor at the entrance, reaching a depth of 25 cm, and also tend to be gruped. Regarding the conservation of Actinopodidae species in Chile, all are subject to a degree of threat that implies the reduction and/or impact on their habitats, potentially leading to population decline, local extinctions, or the disappearance of species with more limited distributions.
