The study, "Consumer Knowledge of the Paediatric Food-based Dietary Guidelines", made use of a convenience sampling method. Data was collected by visiting locations with a high likeliness of hosting relevant participants for the study (i.e. being the primary caregiver of a 0-5-year-old, and residing in Gauteng), this included a paediatric clinic, taxi ranks, and kindergartens. Responses from these participants were gathered by means of an online consumer questionnaire (designed on the software, Qualtrics).The questionnaire commenced by providing participants with an informed consent form, in which participation in the study could be considered. This form included the main objectives of the study and communicated to participants that they could, at any time, skip a question, or completely discontinue participation if desired. This quantitative approach to research yielded accurate findings of a reliable and valid nature.
