Effects of simulated warming and heat stress on the incidence of summer diapause in the progeny of females having experienced competition

The dataset contains experimental data assessing the combined effects of female–female competition and fluctuating thermal stress on summer diapause in the progeny of the cereal aphid parasitoid Aphidius ervi. It includes detailed records of diapause occurrence, mortality, and emergence rates obtained under controlled laboratory conditions. These data provide insights into how climatic warming and acute heat stress influence parasitoid life-history strategies. The associated R script, also available, enables full reproducibility of the analyses, including data preparation, statistical modelling, and graphical visualization of the results.
