Speciation of sulfur in sediment, dissolved organic matter, and biogenic material determined by x-ray absorbance spectroscopy of samples collected at two mangrove locations in June 2022 through February 2024

Here we provide data on the speciation of sulfur from sediment, dissolved organic matter, and biogenic material from mangrove ecosystems in the Caribbean and Florida collected over two field seasons in 2022 and 2024. These data will be useful for those interested in understanding organic matter sulfurization in blue carbon ecosystems such as mangroves. The data will also be informative for researchers investigating organic sulfur cycling.
