VLF Receiver

GO-ABOVE (Geospace Observatory - Array for
Broadband Observations of VLF/ELF Emissions) is a set of ground-based VLF receivers operating from 100 Hz to 75 kHz. The ABOVE instruments monitor electromagnetic covering chorus and hiss emissions as well as U.S. Navy transmitters near 25 kHz. The
absolute timing accuracy is 10 ns, from GPS.

The instrument utilizes two VLF antennas, one aligned North-South, the other East-West.

GO-ABOVE（地空间观测站 - 宽带观测VLF/ELF辐射阵列）是一套地面VLF接收器，工作频率范围为100赫兹至75千赫兹。ABOVE仪器监测电磁波群声和嘶嘶声辐射，以及位于25千赫兹附近的美国海军发射器。其绝对时间精度为10纳秒，由GPS提供。该仪器采用两副VLF天线，一副南北对齐，另一副东西对齐。
