The PtoKNAT1-PtomiR6438a-PtoPOD38 module regulates lignin accumulation in Populus tomentosa (PRJCA016275)

Ehancing the utilization of lignin properties is critical for ecological and economic value in woody plants. Here, we we systematically analyzed the genetic effects of Populus-specific miRNAs on wood formation using data from a natural population of 435 unrelated Populus tomentosa individuals. We got a model of PtoKNAT1-PtomiR6438a-PtoPOD38 and found that this model could influence peroxidase activity to alter the polymerization of monomer further leaded to the decline of lignin content. Therefore, our findings will facilitate dissection of the functions and interactions with TF-miRNA-targets.
