Fruit bagging is used to improve color development of red Chinese sand pear (RCSP) (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai), but the underlying molecular mechanism remains unknown. Herein, young fruit of RCSP 'Meirensu' were bagged with lightproof bags until maturity. The bags were removed 10 days before harvest. The fruit were sampled at different timepoints after bag removal; bagged fruit at the same sampling time were picked as controls. Samples of 0H (hour), 6H, 6HC (bagged control at 6H), 24H, 24HC, 144H and 144HC subjected to transcriptomic analysis.
