Local Media Insights on Marginal Land Use for Biomass from Five European Regions

This dataset provides raw metadata from a local media analysis conducted in five European countries (Hungary, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Greece) under the Horizon Europe project MarginUp! (Grant Agreement 101082089). It consists of selected local media links and summaries gathered with support from Use Case leaders. The data collection focused on identifying publicly available materials related to biomass value chains on marginal lands. The dataset does not aim to reflect complete national or regional media coverage. Instead, it offers a curated snapshot of stakeholder-relevant content, including links to news articles, brief descriptions, and source metadata (e.g. country, stakeholder category, and topic tags). This metadata was used to support exploratory interpretation of stakeholder narratives in the context of sustainable biomass transitions.
