资源简介:
This dataset consists of data (temperature, conductivity, salinity and pressure) collected by two moored MicroCATs (s/n 12456 and 12458) on the Darwin Mounds Long-Term Mooring, Northern Rockall Trough, Northeast Atlantic Ocean from September 2019 to October 2020. The mooring was deployed on cruise DY108 (109) and recovered on cruise DY120. MicroCAT s/n 12456 was fixed onto the mooring at 949 m depth, while MicroCAT s/n 12458 was fixed at 1024 m depth. All data were logged directly to the MicroCATs and downloaded upon mooring recovery. Only a few direct measurements have been made of the near-bed nature of the hydrodynamic regime in contourite drifts, hence the measurements from this mooring are intended to understand the temporal variability of near-bed currents within a Marine Protected Area. These currents are likely responsible for supplying oxygenated and nutrient-rich waters to the benthic fauna that exist here.
