Attitude to AIDS and sexual conduct. Topics: 1. Written survey (part to be filled out): a) contraception: methods of contraception used by person interviewed as well as his partner; contraception method to avoid venereal diseases; knowledge about use of condoms; source of supply for condoms; distance from this source of supply; attitude to use of condoms (scale). b) first relations: age at first sexual intercourse and sex of sexual partners up to now; spouse as first sexual partner or number of sexual partners before first firm partnership; totals and sex of sexual partners up to now; last sexual intercourse. c) relations in the last 12 months: extra-partner sexual intercourse; toleration of extra-marital sexual intercourse by partner; sex of sexual partner; sex for gifts (prostitution); use of condoms in prostitution; unsuccessful uses of condoms; vacation or business trips. Relations in the last four weeks: frequency of sexual intercourse with partner; condom use; frequency of extra-marital sexual intercourse in the last four weeks; sexual partner from another firm partnership and assumptions about further sexual contacts of this sexual partner; condom use. Familiarity of venereal diseases and personal infection with a venereal disease at all as well as in the last 12 months; measures to protect partner from an infection; information of the partner about personal infection; knowledge about methods to protect against venereal diseases; blood transfusion received in the last 5 years; place of blood transfusion. Use of drugs: users of drugs in one´s circle of friends; personal use of drugs; injecting drugs in presence of others; use of needle oneself or by a partner; use of used needles; frequency of sexual intercourse with drug addicts. Drinking habits, use of alcohol: place and frequency of drinking alcohol; duration of drinking; sexual intercourse with personal partner as well as other persons in connection with use of alcohol. Sexual practices: sexual practices exercised or exercised in the last four weeks and use of condoms in this.
