Coin of the king of Bactria Eucratides I. Eucratides I (about 171- 145 BC) - Greco-Bactrian king who overthrew the Euthydemid dynasty and subdued all their possessions, including Indian ones. He appropriated the title of king of kings, probably because not only the rulers of individual regions of the Greco-Bactrian state obeyed him, but also local kings that existed both in Indian and in other parts of the country.
