NRS-20224 | Photographs of metropolitan, country roads ferries etc., and miscellaneous operations, New South Wales

This series consists of photographs showing the construction and maintenance of roads in New South Wales. Some of the roads depicted in the photographs include Liverpool Road, Forest Road, New South Head Road, Parramatta Road, Princes Highway, Great Western Highway, Victoria Road, Illawarra Road, General Holmes Drive, Botany Road, Lane Cove Road and the Federal Highway.In addition to road construction among the photographs there are a number of images showing, vehicular ferries, sign-posting, metropolitan roads, testing laboratory (Head Office) and the Razorback deviation.The photographs have been glued into photograph albums which have been unbound and the pages bundled together. Each photo has been given an alpha-numeric number and arranged according to this number from A1 through to N7. Following these are a series of “miscellaneous” photos which have been designated the prefix “Mis” followed by a running number. An annotation describing the photo has been handwritten below each image.
