RNA-seq analyses of effects of Alpinetin and Zingiberone on hair follicle regeneration

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of Alpinetin (AP) on transcriptome profiles of hair follicle regeneration. Depilation was performed on mice back skin. After 24 hours, the depilated area was treated with 3 mg/ml Alpinetin that were dissolved in 65% ethanol once a day. At day 4 post depilation, skin samples without interfollicular epidermis were obtained for RNAseq. We identified 1567 different expression genes between AP and VC group by using an optimized data analysis workflow. We separate the back skin of depilated and AP treated mice, which removed epidermics, and identified the genome-wide expression level of each group.
