Data for "Individuality and the Living Tree of Life: An Information-Geometric Theory of Biological Form"
收藏资源简介:
Dataset supporting the manuscript “Individuality and the Living Tree of Life: An Information-Geometric Theory of Biological Form.” This deposit contains the simulation output and excavated individuality hierarchy used in the study. The underlying biological system is generated as a branching-process random iterated function system (BRIFS), from which fractal-dimensional, convergence, information-theoretic, and composite-individuality analyses are performed. BRIFS_Base_Simulation.mat contains the base BRIFS simulation output prior to exhaustive pairwise comparison and solution of the dilation equation. It includes the simulated scale, probability, and entropy fields; fractal-dimension estimates and associated fit statistics; the final data-driven convergence results; and the principal simulation parameters. Individuality_Hierarchy/ contains the excavated hierarchy of composite individuals generated from the pairwise analysis. The hierarchy is organized by composite order and comparison type, beginning with first-order composites and proceeding recursively through the terminal twelfth-order composite. Several intermediate computational datasets are not included because of their size. In particular, the raw chunked pairwise-comparison data comprise several terabytes; the reduced Core_Part datasets comprise approximately 784 GB; and the intermediate datasets containing exhaustive real-solution and information-quantity results across pairwise comparisons exceed 1 TB. These objects are intermediate products of the computational pipeline rather than the final excavated hierarchy deposited here. They can be made available by the author upon reasonable request, subject to practical requirements for data transfer and storage. MATLAB code for generating, processing, analyzing, and visualizing these data is available in the associated GitHub repository: https://github.com/KevinAndrewHudnall/Individuality-and-the-living-tree-of-life The GitHub repository provides the computational pipeline used to generate the deposited data and reproduce the analyses reported in the manuscript.
