Transcriptome sequencing of the EtOWP6-KO strain (K7) and the EtHCYA strain (H)

To elucidate the functional role of the EtOWP6 gene in the life cycle of Eimeria tenella, this study performed a comparative transcriptomic analysis of sporulated oocysts (SO) between the EtOWP6 knockout strain (EtOWP6-KO) and the wild-type control strain (EtHCYA). Total RNA was isolated from both strains, with three biological replicates per group, and sequenced using the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform at Novogene Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). The resulting data provide a comprehensive view of the genome-wide transcriptional changes associated with EtOWP6 deletion, offering critical insights into the involvement of this gene in parasite development and pathogenicity.
