Table 2 TMV-induced lesion number and diameter in systemic leaves of tobacco after 24 h and 72 h of treatment with SA, ASA and BzSA. Treatments were given on local leaves of tobacco plants and the lesion number and diameter were determined on systemic leaves after 72 h of TMV inoculation. Tobacco leaves inoculated with TMV served as infection control. Values are means ± SD of three experiments. Each experiment consisted of 3 replicates per treatment, and the experiments were repeated thrice.
