Assessment of Variation in Driving Distraction Risk by Age, Gender, and Driving Area using SHRP 2 Naturalistic Driving Study

Project Description This dataset supported a study to assess driver distraction as a contributing factor for traffic crashes. The study evaluated the variation in driving distraction prevalence and its impacts on driving risk by demographic characteristics, e.g., age and gender, as well as the data collection area. Data Request Scope The data include information from the trip summary table, post-crash interviews, vehicle information table, participant questionnaires, and event detail table. All crashes, near-crashes, and baselines available on V1 of InSight are included. All trips on V1 of InSight are included. All participants and vehicles on V1 of InSight are included.
