This research paper presents data on the investigation conducted to assess the degree of awareness and proficiency gap amongst construction experts on construction 4.0, South West, Nigeria. Globally, knowledge and proficiency of workers are considered key factors for quality delivery of construction projects. The construction industry is enthusiastic about implementing the modern technologies of the fourth industrial revolution into their operations. Consequently, the implementation of these technologies necessitates assessing the level of awareness and proficiency gap of the experts towards building the needed capabilities in the workforce. Data were collected using survey research design. Convenience sampling technique was adopted to select the respondents. Quantitative method with the use of closed ended questionnaire was used to collect the data. Cronbach Alpha test was used to confirm the validity of the questionnaire, which proved that the instrument were reliable. Descriptive analyses were conducted to interpret and give further explanation of the data collected and this present opportunity for further analyses.
本研究论文呈现了对尼日利亚西南部建筑4.0领域专家对相关知识的掌握程度及能力差距进行的调查研究数据。在全球范围内,工人的知识与技能被视为确保建设项目质量交付的关键因素。建筑行业对将第四次工业革命的现代技术应用于其运营充满热情。因此,这些技术的实施需要评估专家在构建所需劳动力能力方面的认知和能力差距。数据收集采用了调查式研究设计,并采纳了便利抽样技术以选取受访者。通过使用封闭式问卷,采用了定量方法来收集数据。运用Cronbach Alpha测试以验证问卷的有效性,结果显示该工具具有较高的可靠性。对收集到的数据进行了描述性分析,以解读并进一步阐释数据,从而为后续分析提供了契机。
