资源简介:
<div>This file contains the boundaries (i.e. shapefiles) of the three flyway <span style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'>initiatives</span><span style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'> </span>in the Americas (Pacific, Midcontinent and Atlantic). The flyways are representations (i.e concepts) of the major migratory routes used by shorebirds in the Americas throughout their life cycles (i.e. between their breeding and non-breeding grounds). Their delimitation is supported data such as shorebird sightings (i.e. eBird), band resights (i.e. flags) and telemetry work. </div><div>The Pacific Flyway encompasses the entire Pacific coast of the Americas, from Alaska (and including Wrangel Island in Russia) to Chile. The Atlantic Flyway includes the entire Atlantic coast of the Americas, from Arctic Canada to Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, including most of the Caribbean Basin. The Midcontinent Flyway includes all other interior habitats that are not included in either the Pacific or Atlantic Flyway, plus a portion of coastline along the western Gulf of America. Arctic-breeding shorebirds use all three Flyways, but the Atlantic and Midcontinent Flyways geographic scopes cover the breeding grounds in Northern Alaska and Canada, whereas the Pacific focuses on Western and Northwest Alaska breeding areas to avoid overlap.</div><div>Contacts:</div><div>Pacific Flyway:</div><div>•<span> </span>River Gates (river.gates@audubon.org), National Audubon Society, Audubon Americas</div><div>Midcontinent Flyway:</div><div>•<span> </span>Isadora Angarita (IAngarita@manomet.org), Manomet Center for Conservation Science</div><div>•<span> </span>Kelli Stone (kelli_stone@fws.gov), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service</div><div>•<span> </span>Benoit Laliberté (benoit.laliberte@canada.ec.gc.ca), Canadian Wildlife Service</div><div>Atlantic Flyway: </div><div>•<span> </span>Debra Reynolds (Debra_Reynolds@fws.gov), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service</div><div><br /></div>
