Amount of special waste imported to Italy 2022, by country of origin

Italy imported approximately 6.9 million tons of special waste from other countries in 2022. It received the largest amount of special waste from Germany, with imports from this country reaching 1.8 million tons that year. Germany was also the main export destination of special waste from Italy, at 977,000 tons in 2022.
