Organic matter enrichment mechanism, algae species and carbon cycle in the saline lacustrine basin during the Middle Eocene: A case study of the Dongpu Depression, Bohai Bay Basin

The paleoclimate, paleoenvironment, and algae species were investigated based on mineralogy and petrological characteristic, organic and inorganic geochemical, organic carbon isotopic (δ13Corg) and palynological assembles analyses. The results show that the paleoclimate, paleoenvironment and OME were in response to the astronomically forced changes.
