FCMP Ground Level Hurricane Wind Data: Frances 2004

The Florida Coastal Monitoring Program (FCMP) is a collaborative experimental effort to measure ground level hurricane surface winds. This publication provides data files of ground level wind speed and direction measured along the east coast of Florida during landfall of Hurricane Frances 2004. MATLAB (.mat) and ascii (.txt) versions of the data are provided for each of the three observation locations. These data are suitable for characterizing the wind at the location and height of the measurement. The accompanying metadata document should be read prior to analyzing the data files.
