README file for data and code belonging to Linssen et al 2023 Global Change Biology, Migratory swans individually adjust their autumn migration and winter range to a warming climate.<br>The RData file "Linssen_2023_GCB_data.RData" contains all R objects needed to be able to run the code for the analysis:- tracks: a data table with GPS tracking records, used for winter range estimation. These data have been pre-processed and cleaned as described in the manuscript.- midwinter_temps: a data table containing the midwinter temperatures for each winter season.- three custom R functions that are used in the script to calculate winter seasons from dates, and calculate intervals and steplengths between GPS fixes.<br>The R file "Linssen_2023_GCB_script.R" contains the code needed to run the analysis. The code can be ran from top to bottom.<br><br>---<br>"tracks.csv" and "midwinter_temps.csv" are the .csv versions of the data tables in "Linssen_2023_GCB_data.RData".These files are not needed to run the analysis (as the .RData file already includes them), but they are included to ensure long-term reproducibility across platforms.
