资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of both oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignouelle and oceanic ammonium made by Mark Elskens during the Belgica 9309 research cruise on the Iberian Slope in the North-East Atlantic as part of the the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and the Ocean Margin EXchange (OMEX) projects. The cruise began on 19th April 1993 and ended on 6th May 1993 with a spatial coverage of +47N to +42N latitude and +7W to +10W longitude. The data consists of: -Partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column by computation from pH and alkalinity; -Concentrations of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) computed from pH and alkalinity; and -The concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by manual colorimetric analysis. See below for further details.
