资源简介:
The extensive use of antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs) in poultry has helped improve chicken growth, but it has also contributed to the global problem of antibiotic resistance. This creates a growing need for safe and natural alternatives that can support healthy growth and maintain a stable gut microbiome. Probiotics, including beneficial bacteria, yeasts, and filamentous fungi, are being explored for this purpose. The present study aimed to evaluate the potential of fungal strain, Aspergillus sydowii C6d, isolated from camel rumen, to serve as a natural growth-promoting probiotic for broiler chickens. A total of 120 chicks were divided into two groups: one group received A. sydowii spores in drinking water, while the other served as an untreated control. Growth performance was monitored for 42 days, and cecal samples were collected from both groups on days 0, 14, 28, and 42 to study how the fungus affects gut microbiota. Microbiota profiling was performed using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. This dataset provides insights into how A. sydowii supplementation influences beneficial and harmful gut bacteria in broiler chickens.
