"This dataset consists of hyperspectral observations acquired by the Imaging Infrared Spectrometer (IIRS) onboard India\u2019s Chandrayaan-2 mission, designed for mineralogical and compositional analysis of the lunar surface. IIRS captures contiguous spectral measurements in the shortwave infrared region, enabling the detection and characterization of diagnostic absorption features associated with key lunar minerals. The dataset includes radiometrically calibrated hyperspectral cubes along with corresponding spatial and spectral metadata, suitable for quantitative analysis. It is particularly relevant for research in hyperspectral unmixing, spectral feature extraction, mineral identification, and physics-guided machine learning. The data can also serve as a benchmark for evaluating supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised algorithms developed for planetary hyperspectral analysis. By making this dataset publicly available, we aim to support reproducible research and facilitate the development and comparison of advanced signal processing and machine learning methods for lunar remote sensing."
