Data Set 2: Uncropped Western Blots, Fig. 1b and Fig. 2b

This dataset contains 7 uncropped western blots in <b>.pdf </b>format for phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) and isoform PTEN-L in mouse brain and in primary neuronal cell cultures. These correspond to figures 1b and 2b of the related article: Unique properties of PTEN-L contribute to neuroprotection in response to ischemic-like stress.<br>The related study investigates the function and regulation of PTEN-L in neurons in the context of brain ischemia. Exogenous, EGFP-tagged PTEN-L or the shorter variant PTEN were expressed in primary neurons after knock out of endogenous PTEN. Oxygen-glucose deprivation or exposure to 50 µM glutamate were applied to neurons to test their response to ischemic-like stress.<br><b>Methods</b><br><strong> </strong><strong>Figure 1 | PTEN-L protein isoforms vanish upon genomic PTEN ablation in neuronal cultures. </strong>(b) Primary neuronal cultures from conditional PTEN knockout mice were transduced with Cre delivering lentiviral particles.
