Noscemus Digital Sourcebook

This dataset contains the plain text extracted from the digital copies of works collected in the Noscemus Wiki, made machine-readable using Transkribus. The texts are interconnected via their Transkribus ID.

The source of each digital copy used to generate the transcription is recorded in the database. The automatic transcriptions were produced in Transkribus using text recognition models specifically trained for the recognition of early modern (Latin) prints as part of the NOSCEMUS project. They have not undergone manual editing or correction.
