Transcriptomic response of Entomonies sp to aluminium

Diatoms are a class of algae that play an essential role in global ecology and biogeochemistry, and they also have the potential to produce valuable chemicals. They are well known for forming intricate nanostructured silica cell walls known as frustules.This study investigates the transcriptional response of the pennate diatom, Entomoneis sp. (11IV18 -2A), to aluminum exposure in the goal to discover proteins involved in response to it as we observed increased silicificiation.
